Днес с Вики решихме да си направим една екскурзийка до Перник и да се насладим на кукерските игри. Като изключим студеното време всичко беше повече от прекрасно - атмосфера, костюми, танци.

Танцуваха се традиционни танци (на снимката е "Ляво" хоро) за прогонване на злите духове и орисници, за да бъде плодородна годината.

Кукерските костюми се правят възможно най-страшни, за да могат да прогонят злото. Много често маските изобразяват чудати същества или страшни животни, а телата са покрити с кожи. Около кръста се опасват с чанове, за да дрънчат колтото е възможно по-силно.
Mummer costumes are made as scary as possible to keep away the evil. Very often masks depict bizarre creatures or scary animals and their bodies are covered with fur. Loins are girded with bells to jingle as stronger as possible.

За финал на нашия кукерски ден посетихме Подземния минен музей, който е единствения по вида си в България и определено си заслужава да се посети.
